The PM Ring serves as a reminder to each Project Management practitioner to uphold professionalism and responsibility. It is a symbol and promise to conduct sound project management principles.

Symbolism

Middle finger

The ring is to be worn on the middle finger on the practitioner's dominant hand as a reminder to never communicate to others in a disrespectful manner

Black

The black color of the ring serves as a reminder to learn from and improve upon mistakes. It also serves as a reminder to keep project costs under control and out of the red.

Open Bearing Race

The shape of the ring is based on the inner race of an open ball bearing. This serves as a reminder to focus on improving the INNER values of the practitioner, to be OPEN to change and communication with others while BEARING each other's burdens within the profession, to RACE toward perfection, and to value all RACES as equals.

Material

Because project management involves refining the soft skills of the practitioner, the ring is manufactured out of a durable plastic serving as a reminder for the practitioner to be flexible and durable.
